    New PC - Processor

    Hi,

I need some quick advice, as i'm buying a new PC from Dell, and i'm not too sure what to buy. Its a dual-core processor, but i'm not sure whether to get the standard 2.80 GHz or the 3.40 GHz, which costs an additional £58. Will it make any significant diffence, because if not, i'll use the left over money on an "Ultrasharp" monitor.

    Thanks!

    Just my opinion of course:

    Yes.

You can always upgrade the monitor at a later date. Of course you could also upgrade the CPU later but a monitor is much easier to change out if you are not into building systems from scratch.

As a Dell reseller, I think I'm pretty qualified to offer my opinion here

The Ultrasharp monitors are REALLY nice ...... but I would put my £58 into the processor - that's a good price for that much more speed.
