I really want to be able to play powerfull games on top specs and run high rendering graphic development applications quickly. I'm also hoping to get Vista when it comes out. What do you think i should upgrade with?

Im kinda looking upto a maximum of £300 but i would rather only spend between £150 and £250.

Basically i want a kick ass pc!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

for a decent budget pc i would suget this:
    Motherboard
    Processor
    memory (RAM)
    Graphics card
    hard drive
    DVD RW
Total-aprox £257 plus O/S (xp home can be purchased for around £50-60)

if you want a new psu and case, look through these:
    case: http://www.dabs.com/productlist.aspx...145&PageMode=1

    psu: http://www.dabs.com/productlist.aspx...259&PageMode=2

or, if you want a different motherboard with built in graphics (cheaper)
    try this motherboard

with that motherboard, you can also get cheaper RAM (the other ram is not compatible with that motherboard)

this ram is a slower speed and there is less of it... i would sugest getting faster ram and probably 1gb if possible (e.g. http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx...y=0]2 of these)

you can change some of the parts if you are not happy, you will need fans (at least 2 to be on the safe side) if you want to give us the link to any different parts, we will check it out for you and make sure it is compatibe if you are not sure.

    hope this helps,
    mike

yeah... that would probably be a better idea... looking at that, your procesor is not much slower than the one i gave you in the link... you may want to clean out some junk on the HD (possibly clean install if you have alot of things you dont want)

the ram depends on what speed and capacity your motherboard supports
as brain_damage said, try this site: http://www.crucial.com/uk/
you can enter the make and model of your pc and it finds compatible ram for you
