Adding 2nd HdDrv to Dell 5100
I have a 40 gig Maxtor hd drv from another computer. Specifically, it is the DiamondMax Plus 8 40GB ATA/133 HDD manufactured in 2002. I'd like to add it to my Dell 5100 as a storage drive/slave. Dell uses a plastic drive holder and the power supply is different than the 4-post connection of older computers. I can make the plastic holder work, but, is there an adapter to make this power connection or is it worth the trouble?

As far as I can see the Dimension 5100 uses only SATA drives.

The power connector would be the same but instead of an IDE (ribbon) cable you have SATA cables.
You can get SATA/IDE converters.
