Is this a good system for budget gaming?

Hi guys, i just have a query. I've been comparing systems for quite a while now (Pre-built because im not too good with hardware) and ive come across quite a cheap baseline system. The specs are as follows...

    AMD Athlon64 3500+ (939) CPU (64Bits) w/Fan
-Asus A8N-VM CSM All In One PCI-Express motherboard with DVI(939)
-Quality 512MB DDR 400 PC3200 (RAM) <----also going to add an extra 512
    -PCI-Express XpertVision 256Mb 7600GT
-Western Digital 160G 8M Sata-2 Cache 7200rpm Hard Disk Drive
-16x Dual Layer DVD burner (Black)
    -Internal Multi-Card Reader - Black
-Tsunami 826K Midi ATX case (400W) (Black)
-Aopen 950P PS/2 Multimedia Internet keyboard (Black)
    -Optical mouse (Black)
-800W 2.1 piece speaker set (Black)
    -Belkin Single Port Surge protection

I was just wondering if this rig sounds ok for the occasional CS:S and Quake 4 gaming?I can always upgrade the processor to a 3800 if things aren't running up to speed...

I would recommend you get another board which can support sli as i dont think that one does also try and get match pair ram for that added bit of speed i would recomend the mother board i have as it supports true sli x16 instead of the standard x8 maybe a wd sata drive w 16mb cache might help and windows home for now with the option to get vista when you choose hope this helps

This system will be fine for cs on max settings but im not so sure about quake 4 which is intense i mean my old amd athlon xp 2200 with 1gb pc2100 ram and ati 8500 le runs cs almost on high without aa lol so go for it my freind but as i say the mobo could be better
