I want it - free of charge!

Just being picky - small hard drive... for small extra cost you could have larger storage. No doubt you have reason though.

Power Supply - I prefer Enermax or Seasonic... sayign that, i dont know a thing about Xion !

Just need a decent case to show it off in!

I agree that you'll probably want a bigger hard disk but the DiamondMax 10 is a nice one - SATA2 is the fastest interface that you can get and the 8MB cache will be good for handling larger files such as those used in games. You might even want to consider a Western Digital drive with a 16MB cache though.

I'm sure that that graphics card is good but what a lot of money! Would 2 x 256MB cards cost less and do a better job? I'm not into gaming so I don't know ... just a thought.

The RAM is a good price for 2GB but why are you only getting DDR400? With a system spec like that and bearing in mind that you want it for gaming, I'd definitely want the RAM to be quick as well.

Personally, my angle on it would be to make sure the board would support as fast a processor as possible and use that as your "future-proofing". Spend a little less on the processor (with the ability to upgrade later), then focus more on faster RAM and a better hard disk. Crucial (Micron) memory do a Ballistix range intended for high-performance gamers - www.crucial.com/uk

    Hope that helps

Its a great mobo, one of the best. SO future upgrade potential is well catered for. The CPU is a good choice, it has good onboad cache and doesnt cost an arm and a leg like the new FX62s!

DDR400 is fast for a 939 processor and board isnt it Nafey? I know that Corsair have bought out the DDR500 i think it is, but there are some issues with Mobos supporting it properly i heard. What difference does Ballistic make over normal memory? maybe worth upgrading to it.

SATAii i was reading is better than the Western Digital Raptors... is that really right! all of a sudden a HDD upgrade is a possibility... oh i will need a mobo too

Why spend the money on an non-AM2? I would get an nForce590 equiped board with the AM2 processor, probably 5000+ that way you can get DDR2.

I would forgoe the 7900GTX in favor of the 7950GX2 (Sli without the SLi!)

If you are willing to go to the max for everything else, why are you skimping on the HDD? You can get the WD 160 with 16mb cache and two of those for less than 140 USD then Raid 0 or 1 which ever you want (size or speed) so that you get the best of both worlds.

Again, with the release of AM2, there is no reason to spend the money on the old 939 since you cant upgrade to DDR2 memory or better features of the nForce5xx chipset.
