i have the choice to get two LCD monitors:

one has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 with 8ms pixel responce

one has a contrast ratio of 800:1 with 5ms pixel responce

if i want a monitor that can run the latest games the best and last me for the newer games that are coming out... which one should i get?

which is more important for gaming, contrast ratio or pixel responce?

i mean... 3 mili seconds... does that matter that much?

To give you a bit of guidance, the first TFT monitors that came out had response times of 25ms to 30ms. This was fine for normal Windows use but they were rejected by gamers as they weren't quick enough. The next generation of TFT monitors that claimed to give fast response times for gaming were between 10ms and 15ms. Therefore, I'd think that 5ms and 8ms should both be good. I would go for the one with the better contrast ratio, assuming that the other specifications such as brightness and resolution are the same.
