    power supply too much??

I have recently spent the last couple of months buying the components to build my own system. here's the spec:

    Athlon 3200+CPU (Venice core)
    Asus A8V Deluxe m/board
    1024MB RAM
    Nvidia 6800GT AGP Vid Card
    250GB maxor HD
average run of mill DVD R/RW
Average run of mill CD R/RW

One thing that concerns me before I do my first power up (I am still assembling all the components) is that the PSU wattage may be too high for my system. The PSU is a 520W jobby. Are there any implications of having a PSU with such a high power output? The reason I opted for the tower case with this PSU is for upgradability reasons. I plan to run 2 HD's in a RAID setup eventually. My main concern is that my PSU will burn out my existing components before I have time to fill the case with any more hardware upgrades.

    Any advice appreciated

    Lee.

The Wattage would be like a reservoir. Your parts would only take what they need. 520 would give you good room for any upgrades.
