[CENTER][I] [SIZE=5][COLOR=Black][FONT=Arial Black]my pc is not really that old as far as i am concerned but to other friends of mine i have been told i would be better of to get rid of it for better. the manufacturing date on it is 2002 so what 4 yrs so any way its a HPPAV with an 800 Mhz i know that is slow compared to others total physical memory is 126 MB total virtual memory is 2 gb. i know its upgradable the question is what would cost more a serious upgrade or just sell this and get a already upgraded pc and if i sell the one i have could anyone give me an idea what i should sell it for.. it also has your cd-writer plus installed and has all needed programs. right now i'm running ME for windows and my internet is highspeed roadrunner.i dont have any problems with any thing i just know it can be better and faster!!!! tyvm

Well, I would recommend Dell, I know stark, im amazed i said this too lol, anyways, they are cheap and easy to use. Just sell your computer and buy a new one.

Pammy97, as far as the upgrade vs. sell question. The amount of upgrades you can do to this to make is more current are limited. What do you plan on using the system for? Games? Work? Photo/Video editing? a mix?

Your HP is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I have a whitebox P4 1.8ghz with 512MB ram and a 40GB HDD with an ATI Radeon 128MB card and onboard audio that I was looking at selling for just the box at about 300 to 400.

I would suggest you put it on an auction site, Ebay or here and let someone else decide how much to buy it for. If you live in a more populated area than I do (I am in the sticks) you can probably find someone who will buy it for more or less the same I am selling mine for. I assume you will sell the monitor, keyboard, Mouse and Speakers as well.

If you decide to just replace it, you can get a replacement new system for about $400 to $500 USD and get a reasonable system. If you are going for Video/Games then you will look at spending atleast twice that or more.

So, before you decide, you need to ask your self first, what do you want to do with it. Second, how much do you want to spend. And third, to meet your needs should I buy new or upgrade.
