    motherboard problem

    hi there cant get any video output from my motherboard
    Asrock K7S8X,AMD ATHLON 2600+(333MHZ) 256 MB DIMM DDR 266MHZ RAM AND GEFORCE FX 128MB GRAPHICS,I,VE ALSO TRIED A DIFFERENT NVIDEA CARD
    PC Turns on all fans working but no video output,please help

    do you get any beeps when the PC starts up?

    no beeps at all only the fans spin

    have you ever had the motherboard running?.

    you should have a beep to say it's past Power-On-Self-Test (POST)

    no mother board was a refurb, does the speaker header need to b connected to hear beeps

    on the motherboard there should be marked External speaker connector (SPEAKER 1) is this connected to the internal speaker? if so you should hear beeps. the different beeps meen different problems.

    Hi there connected speaker via 4 pin header nothing no beeps just fan spinning

    it sound like the motherboard my be faulty.. remove everything except the CPU/Fan and try booting up then you should get at least 1 beep

    Again nothing, is there anyway of testing the mothorboard, can it be the processor surley the fans wouldnt spin, again how can i test the cpu, I,ve heard a lot about post (pci,agp) cards would it be worth getting one.

    the sure way of testing to see if it's the motherboard is put all your stuff onto another board and see if that works.

    Your fan would still spin if the CPU was gone.

    is all the hardware new?
