    Question Cpu advice...

I currently own a craptastic Hp pavillion a420n and according to a program called "motherboard monitor 5" my AMD athleon 3000+ xp processor runs at about 70-72 *Celcius (161 F) while my case is only running at 28*Celcius (82 F)so I"m concerned a with the quality of the heat sink thats on the cpu. Should the temperature be of concern ? and any thoughts or suggestions on a good heatsink I could upgrade to.

    Cheers

Does the heatsink have a fan? The HP specs show a Socket A processor. Here is just a quick google on Socket A heatsinks/fans:

Here are the HP specs re: pavillion a420n:

That temp is very hot. You should try to bring it down.

Is the fan clean? You may want to try to clean & reapply the thermal compound.

Here is another search on copper heatsinks:

have you looked in the BIOS to see what your CPU temp is ?

    Edit

I just installed MM5 and according to that my CPU is running at -1 and my case at 96
