i have an Acer Aspire T300 with a SiS651 chipset

i was wondering if my motherboard will recognise a 512MB stick of DDR RAM im going to buy either a PC2700 or PC2100 stick. i already have 256MB of default RAM...

No problem there Dj2e - it supports up to 2Gb of PC2100 RAM. Here's a direct link to the info from the Crucial Memory Advisor:

Crucial recommend PC2100 but PC2700 ought to work as well.
