I have 512 MB of memory right now in the computer and I want to upgrade it to either 1GB or 2GB. I want to know what the best ram to get is. I will mainly use the computer for image and video related stuff. and of course some game playing too.

However if you are going to use your present RAM as well it is often best to match the same brand.
I have no Idea what kind of ram is in the computer because the computer came as a pre-built package with monitor, speakers, etc. And I will probably replace the ram that is in there with whatever kind I get.
