    Memory question

I have a Asus P4SD-VX motherboard with 4 memory slots (2 are occupied with some no name brand that came with the Sony Computer) there is 512 MB of memory currently on the motherboard. I need to know what type of ram I can use, PC2700 or PC3200.

The Max ram I can put on it is 2GB The name on the board is P4SD-VX. The board was made exclusively for the sony computer. The model number of the computer is PCV-RS 422X.

    STANDARD RAM
    512MB PC-2700 333MHz DDR (expandable to 2.0GB)

If you are adding to your existing RAM it is usually suggested to run all the same brand.

Also all sticks will run at the lowest speed. Whether that board would support 3200 isn't clear.

What did the Crucial scan show?
