i have just put together a
DFI Lanparty nF4 Sli-dr
amd 64socket 939
dual ram 2*512 sticks
dual graphics cards
2 ide hdd
2sata drives
floppy
dvdrom
dvd rw

starts up all fans running, lightsand fans on graphics cards running but nothing on screen and no power to the optical drives

any body got any advice i would be very grateful

are you sure that the psu is powerful enough?

Did you follow all the setup data in the manual?

Did you set all the jumpers for your graphics cards?

Did you make all the on-board power connections?

Just a couple things I notice:

SLI mode
- 2 SLI-ready graphics cards (use identical cards) on the PCI Express x16 slots.
- The graphics cards are connected via the SLI bridge.
- The bandwidth of each slot is x8; when the graphics cards are connected via
the SLI bridge, it runs at x16 bandwidth.

SLI / Single VGA Select jumper - for “nF4 SLI” models only.
Marvell 88E8001 Gigabit PCI - for “nF4 SLI” and “nF4 Ultra” models
only.
Silicon Image Sil3114 and SATA 5 to SATA 8 - for “DR” models only.
Diagnostic LED connector - for LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR only.

Important:
The 5VSB power source of your power supply must support
.720mA.

problem solved i needed a power lead adapter, there are 4 power connections to this board i shifted the memory around and viola.

this is a copy of my post from yesterday i got hold of a power adapter for the m/board and it started up sweet as a nut then 20 minutes or so later ...black screen again rebooted black screen waited half an hour rebooted same again any help much appreciated.

i have the memory in the recommended place banks2 and 4 started it this morning and its still going 1hour

everything is still fine it seems to have resolved itself ,computers can be baffling at times.
