I have a new question >.<
I fixed my previous boot problem.. but now my coputer doesnt detect any of my optical or hard drives! i have rechecked all the connections many times, any ideas?
Hi ,
I don't know what your previous problem was.. but..
Has the new problem just shown up after you fixed the previous problem??
If yes, then you can be nearly 100% sure that the two problems are somehow related.
Anyway, for now..
Check your IDE cable(ie. your drive cables) connections to the motherboard.
Make sure the hard drive cable is securely attached to the "primary" motherboard connector.. and the DVD/floppy etc. cable is connected to the "secondary" motherboard connector.
Hope this helps.

You say: "but now ..." Did the board ever detect these drives?Originally Posted by trapix
Are you sure that you have the proper cables?
Are you sure all the jumpers are set correctly?
Are you sure that the red edge of the ribbon is next to the power supply line?
(Red on right from the rear.)
Are you sure your BIOS is set to Auto-Detect drives?
