I just finished building my first computer and when I power it on all it does is give repeated long beeps. I found some error codes for the Power on self test but none of them match my beep code. Can anybody help me ???

Is everything seated properly?

I believe so. All of my drive lights come on correctly and so do my LEDs.

what Motherboard have you got? are all the part new?

It is an A-Bit socket 478 with a pentium 4. I have a hard drive cd rom and dvd rw. Also my sound and graphics cards.

what model is it ? does it support your Ram ? are you using the onboard sound?

It uses a "softmenu BIOS" thats supposed to find everything

Wow I just got it working. I looked up softmenu bios on google and it gave me an accurate list of beep codes. my RAM was bad. Thank you I appreciate it!!!!
