Please be more specific. In Windows XP? Position on the IDE Chain?
/Its windows xp, whats an ide chain?
Only 1 can be called C: and only 1 can be called E:........why do you want to swop them over ?
as 1 will be master and the other slave and it will look at master first so if you want you can rename C: Z:
Well i want i make E: my masterOriginally Posted by brain_damage
How can i do that?
Umm your operating system is installed on C though right? if you make your current E: Drive the master, then without an operating system installed on it you won't be able to boot up.....

You would have to reformat E:, Put it first on the chain for a traditional boot drive. You can use programs like Partition Magic to make dual or multi boot partitions/drives. Why do you want o change the Master for the Slave? Is E bigger or faster?
YEs my E: drive is biggger, can you give me specifics on how to change the two?
