New processor is not registering correctly

    Hi,

I bought a new AMD athlon XP 3200+ 400FSB 512 Cache to replace my athlon XP 1600+, it is working but it is registering as a 1700+ with a clock speed of 1473Mhz. Have they sent me the wrong processor or should i change the multiplier to a higher number so that it runs closer to the 2200Mhz it is ment to? If so what should i change it to? The FBS is 133 the bus speed is 266. My motherboard is either giga-byte GA-7VRXP or a GA-7VRX, im not sure which.

    Thanks

Therefore the only solution is to upgrade your motherbaord to one that can support a CPU with a 400mhz FSB.
