    Question Video Card Laptop Question

Hi I have recently bought a couple of games for my Compaq Presario 2500 Notebook PC and found that a better Graphics Card is needed. Is it possible to install a new graphics card into a Laptop and if so which would you recommend?
    Thanks

Opening up the laptop and fitting a new graphics chip is usually a VERY specialist job and really should only be left to the professionals. And, by that, I don't mean the kids down at PC World, I mean LAPTOP specialists!

Unfortunately, I don't think there's any such thing as a USB graphics card that you could plug in externally.

Yes dj but there are guides to help do-it-yourselfers...... and you would need to buy lappy vid card which are hard to find.

Some Laptops did offer Video upgrades and I have worked on several Laptops to fix/repair keyboards and FDD/HDD/CDD interface problems. I would not even think about upgrading a laptop Video. If its PCI passed it the MiniPCI which the connector is broken too easily or its a proprietery socket or its the chip itself which would require a bios upgrade...All are too much for the average user and the inner workings are just too darn delicate.
