    Mp3 sd vs. Sdhc

I have a Sylvania touch screen MP3 that has a micro SD card slot. I bought a 8gb Sandisk micro SDHC card and the MP3 doesn't recognize it. Any ideas to make it work?

Alrighty, this is gonan be a learning experience for all

Anything that that is over 4GB and is on an SD card is called an SDHC or High Capacity (HC). THe high capacity has a different format than that of a regular SD card 2GB>. So this means if you try putting an SDHC memory card into an SD only device it will not work. Also, you wanna make sure you are not going over the maximum capacity of the device. Some devices can only read up to a certain amount of data.

Hope you all had a fun lesson

SDHC means Secure Digital High Capacity. Basically it is a different format than that of SD. It has more memory built into it so that you can store more. But since some devices cannot comprehend the format of SDHC, they are stuck using only regular SD cards which have a lower built in memory.
