    help an idiot

I am a complete novice when it comes to technology, in particular computers and ipods.
My problem is that I have an ipod 6th generation, and I have loaded a bunch of music on to it from my cd collection using an itunes account. However, I am now unable to access the computer on which my itunes account was set up, and never will again. I have access to a couple of new computers which I would like to synch to my ipod but I have absolutely no idea how to do it. Am I going to lose all my music ? Is it possible to download to a hard drive for example, set up a new itunes account, and then import into the itunes from the hard drive ? Does somebody have an idiot's step-by-step guide on how to solve this problem ? Thanks in advance...

Unfortunately, syncing it with another computer, will make it wipe the ipod.
However, there is a way to get around this, but is only possible if the old computer can be accessed. You can copy the entire itunes folder in "my music" inlcuding the playlist data, and put it in the exact same place on your new computer. That will fool the iPod into thinking its the same playlist/library..

If you can't get those files, then I'm afraid you will have to let iTunes wipe then iPod, and load all of your music on again.

    Hope this helps,
    Paul

Actually, I'm wrong. There is a little program that lets you copy your iPod's music to your computer.
I will try and remember its name and tell you.
