I have a sony ericson. d750i phone and my contract is soon up for renewal.
as I use telewest they have a deal with virgin for cheap mobile calls, I want to use this service but my phone is locked to t-mobile.

does any one know how to unlock it (cheap as poss got 3 phones to do)

Hmm I am sure I used to go into MPC near where I live and they did it for a £10 each handset. Not sure if thats still the case though.

I had a quick Google and did see this site: http://www.cellular-unlocking.co.uk I have no idea whatsoever how legit this is but I think it is a pretty simple procedure to do so I wouldnt mind betting there are now poeple who offer a quick and simple legit service like this....

Try phoning TMobile. Some networks offer an unloacking service. Also, try any local Markets (the indoor ones that are open on Sat/Sun etc) - I know Pool Market (cornwall ) has a guy who does it for a tenner :P

You need some speciliazed dongles and some specialized software, that's all.
