My bank also is Abbey (Abbey national). I too use on-line banking. Problem 1 is, don't lower permissions, just to open something. You could have zone alarm blocking pop ups at that site, right click it and open in new window if it still blocks and sees it as a pop up. Abbey won't allow mozilla based browsers they prefer I.E., just check in zone alarm settings and set allow pop ups from that site.Originally Posted by pommie5
I don't use zonealarm, free, pro, or with filtering, so can't tell you where it would be in GUI.
I too am having the same type of problem, it is in both IE and Mozilla so it must be nortons personal firewall.
If you go to http://www.modestneeds.org/ledger/ I can click on the links at the top just fine, but all the links to look at Descriptions or to change the ledger pages do not work.
Has any1 figured out how to fix this yet?
Thank You

What you are all describing is a problem with Javascript. Baryngyl, could you please try disabling Norton Personal Firewall temporarily and then testing the webpage again. It could be that Norton Personal Firewall is blocking Javascript. My Kerio Firewall has an option to block Javascript. I haven't used it, because I quite often need Javascript for many sites.
Post back please when you have tried, and please post your version of Norton Personal Firewall (What year in other words, NPF 2003, 2004, etc).
I am running Win XP home - all updates as of 11/22/04 except media player 10 and the extra languages.
NPF 2003 - all updates as of 11/23/04
I have tried disabling NPF but it still has the problem.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the sun java and MS java stuff several times.
I know the http://www.modestneeds.org/ledger/ webpage works fine on 2 other computers I have tried it on, and I can open the java links on other pages (windows update site, and another one I was on today) so I am pretty sure the java it's self is working but just not on this page for me. So it must be in NPF, I have set the settings to accept all, Java, scripts, Active X, etc.
Thank You
