Hi, Ive been doing a few online revision lesson for ym comp tia a+ exam which I have coming.
The first few weeks were fine then I got a message saying i could not connec tto the audio video server.

I got aorund that by using a diffrent gateway and that seemed to sor tthe problem out for a bit.

But now the dsame prolbem is coming up and I have no idea what to do, ive tired both the orginal gateway and the other one but none seem to work, its really starting to annoy me. The message is ---------------------------

What OS are you using?

This could be a simple driver error
Could you checked in device manager to see if there are any yellow exclamation marks.
If so a re-install of the drivers for the device could be all it needs.

Hi Jim123,

Its not a driver error because I've had this problem before, it was working fine on minute and then the next it just could not connect to the audio/video server, I tired a different gateway which worked for a little while but then that stopped working yesterday, I really need to get this sorted because i have a exam coming up soon.

But I did check device manager and all drivers are there and i am running windows 7.

Have you tried disabling (just to see if its not that) your antivirus and firewall?
I'm not suggesting you run without them just to disable them temporarily to see if its not a permissions problem.

My firewall is disabled as I work in a school so we have another company control our firewall and our antivirus.

So I would have a word with the schools IT department and see what they say

It does say that, I am apart of the schools IT department, I am an apprentice, I do my training online. I've spoken to the people I work with and they told me to get in touch with the company who manage our network and I'm waiting for them to get back to me but in the meantime I thought I would see if anyone online knew the answer.

I think unfortunately its going have to wait until the company who manage your network get back to you.
Because I have a feeling this is a permissions thing through their firewall
Having been an apprentice myself I know how important your needs are. Especially when coming up to exams.
So I hope they get back to you PDQ.
