PC rebooted, Firefox reinstalled, how to restore bookmarks?
MY PS got a virus
the computer shop wiped and reinstalled the C drive and put my bookmarks in a folder on the desktop
How can i get them from there to the bookmark folder in Firefox (9)
thanks

I am not a FF user, but my guess for the easiest way would be to import them into FF. So I might look for an import feature. Alternatively, you could save a new bookmark, then search for that from the Windows Start orb search box. When you find it, you should be able to determine that folder's location, then be able to simply copy your bookmarks to that folder.

[XP] This should work (importing from another browser - folder contents):- Click ‘Start’ BUTTON > RUN and enter %systemdrive% into the search (program) BOX. Hit <ENTER> KEY.
- Double click ‘Documents and Settings’ and then your user account name.
- Open your ‘Favorites’ FOLDER (IE).
- Copy your OLD bookmarks folder contents to the above BROWSER FAVORITES FOLDER.
- Follow instruction found here to ‘import from another browser’ (IE):

Many thanks (both of you). I now have my bookmarks back in place
