That's a pretty generic question. A syntax error is basically a mistake in the command or instruction set, and in this case for a Java function.

Thanks for answering.I am sure you are very busy,I will try and make it short...When I go onto pogo.com from Internet explorer a box pops up and all it says is "syntax error".I hit ok and it goes away then pops right back up 3 or so times then its gone.I am just trying to figure out if its my computer or not and what to do about it if anything.Thanks for the time.

Do you get the error when you are accessing a particular game? When I access www.pogo.com I do not get an error message nor is JAVA even running at that point. You need to be as specific as possible.

What version of IE (Help>About Internet Explorer) are you running and which Operating System? Which JAVA version (Plugin Check)?

windows 7 and java plugin 1.6.0.29and ie8. This error pops up when I play any game.I have not tried every single game though.also for quite some time I will go out of Pogo back to my desktop and there will be a new icon sometimes 2 that say err.23 (the number is different on each one).It is a text file.

The error text messages may provide useful diagnostic information?

I have all the same versions and was able to run 'Poppit' game. I use Vipre antivirus tool (with firewall included) - you might have a firewall problem that interferes with JAVA running properly.
