Went to go onto a favourite site one that I look at daily and my virus checker AVG has blocked it saying Malicious site?

It's a members only holiday site that has been running for about 6 months, I use it on a regular basis, and now this?

Any ideas as to why it's being blocked all of a sudden?

It could be a "false positive", something sadly, AVG is noted for. I have not used AVG in a while but you should be able to configure AVG to ignore it. But, it is possible that site was hijacked and corrupted by a badguy too and really is malicious so I recommend you plug the URL in Norton Safe Web and McAfee SiteAdvisor. If both report the site is clean, then the better path is to report the site to AVG here. If (when) they confirm the site is fine, they will correct that in their next signature/definition file update.

thanks Digerati for that, tried both sites you advised and both came back that the site was ok, so have repeorted it back to AVG.
