Does my computer support HD videos?

Ive been trying to watch the HD videos online via youtube/vimeo, and everytime I watch one it lags/chops.. Never get a solid looking pictures.

My question is what things does a computer need to watch HD videos?

ATI Radeon HD 2600Pro 512MB AGP - It has the Omega drivers installed
    AMD Atholon 3500+ 2.2GHz
    Samsung Syncmaster 933 Monitor

If you need more specs let me know. The video does play, but it lags and looks very choppy. Just wondering if I can even play videos. Because My friend said I needed some sort of HD cables for my monitor, but then he said I dont even have a port for it on my video card. But the video card says its HD.. HELP haha

You need to deal with the choppiness first. When did this problem start? Did it ever work right? Does the computer work fine otherwise?

How much RAM? How much free disk space? You did not specify the brand card. From what I have seen, the HD2600Pro is used by several card makers but all seem to have at least 1 DVI (digital) output and support HD content just fine.

You also did not state the full model number of your monitor. I note there are several Samsung Syncmaster 933 monitors - not all support HD or digital content.

The problem started ever since I noticed you could watch HD videos. I never watched them because it was so choppy. But my card said HD and I wanted to see why I wasnt able to, or what I need to do to get the quality I'm looking for. The computer works fine otherwise, I play video games and all that just fine.

I have 3GB of RAM on this computer, the hardrive is 30gig, and I have 9gb left. I also have another hardrive plugged inside the computer with 112 but it has a different OS and doesnt boot from this computer, gives me a error.

My card brand is SAPHIRE ATI HD Radeon 2600 PRO 512MB

The monitor I'm having trouble finding out more info but the model says 933SN on the back. Also has model number which is "ls19cmykfnauza"

According to your manual, it supports a native resolution of 1360 x 768. High-definition television at 720p is (1280×720 progressive scan) so your monitor will support that. But it may have problems with full 1080 (i or p) which is at 1920×1080. So that may be some of your problem.

Only having 9Gb free on your boot disk may also be part of the problem - especially if heavily fragmented. If your system can access that second drive, you might move your page file over there. And I would uninstall any programs you installed that you don't use, then run Disk Cleanup or CCleaner on your boot drive, then defrag it.

I'm not too computer savy so I don't know what move your page file means. Care to explain?

Im also not sure about my second hard drive. I just put 2 computers togetther and the hardrive with the motherboard installed is the 9gb. And the second one I can read it, but I cant boot it. So can I even do what your saying? Some how-to links would be cool if you have them, otherwise I can google.. Thanks for the help so far

Booting to it would depend on if the second disk is bootable or not. You cannot just plug in a disk and boot to it, especially if it came from another computer.

As for moving the page file, see, How to move the paging file in Windows XP

What kind of internet connection do you have? HD movies aren't going to pay too well online if you don't have a high speed internet connection. You can test your speed here.

Well I'd say that you have a sufficient enough download however your upload isn't very good. I don't know if that would matter. Probably not unless the server is expecting some sort of reply.
