I have been given a photo with the extension .mix. I am unable to open and print it for a friend. The original is no longer available. I would need to change the ext. to .jpeg. Can anyone help. it would be much appreciated. TIA

.mix files are created by Microsoft Picture It. XnView will work or you can insert the .mix image into a MS Word document and then save that document (using Save As) as a web page. This will create a folder which contains the picture as a .jpg image.

Thank you most sincerely for your reply. I have downloaded the program suggested and made the folder showing the picture. Thereafter it will do nothing. I tried to print; enlarge etc. but to no avail. Sorry to bother you but what am I doing wrong. Irish

You are not bothering me. I am sorry it does not work however. I really don't have any experience with that program. It was just one I found that was able to convert .mix to .jpg. Did that not work?

Thank you for your reply. No I was unable to make it work for me - I am wondering if it alien to Firefox. Anyway it allowed me to copy it and I pasted it into work and hey presto I have a jpeg. Thank you for all your efforts. No doubt I will be back again with something else. Irish
