Hi, I going over to Windows 7, and I am told there is no e-mail client supplied. Which e-mail client would be the best. From downunder.
There's no way to answer that. There are too many to choose from that will work and everyone has their favorite. And many people don't use a host-based client and simply stick with Google or Yahoo or some other web-based email program.
I use Outlook because I've been using it since Outlook 97 was released. Note that is totally different from Outlook Express, despite similar names. Microsoft did away with OE in Vista, going with Windows Mail, which was removed from Win7. MS now offers Windows Live Essentials in it's stead. I am sure many Firefox enthusiasts would suggest Thunderbird which is a good alternative, but it is quite different from OE and as such has a steeper learning curve. The closest thing to OE's look and feel is Windows Live Essentials.
Thunderbird is very good and it's FREEWARE.
Thank you for that, will now decide
Ended up using thunderbird. Couldnt get windows live to except my e-mail provider.
Got rid off thunderbird, then windows live, then incredimail, then endura, and so on and none of them worked through my provider, which is activ8
