I was certain it was you hosts file but am disturbed HostsXpert was not able to reset it. That leads me to suspect some malware had changed your hosts file, and then changed the attributes so HostsXpert could not do its thing. That's not good.

I would still run MBAM to make sure your system is clean, and certainly you need to ensure you Practice Safe Computing.
