This may be a dumb question to some.
I was filling out a questionnaire, and I was asked. What is your internet connection? There was a list including: Modem14.4 kbps or lower; Modem 28.8kbps; Modem 33.6kbps; Modem 56k (V90, K56 FLEX or X2); ISDN; Cable modem; ADSL (500k); ADSL (1Mbit or 2Mbit); LAN/T1/E1; Leased line; Other.
I think I'm ADSL, but which one?

Is there somewhere to look on my PC to find out?
Operating system - Vista home premium 32bit; Sky broadband Wireless.
Need any more info, please ask.

Look at your account on your ISP's website. It should tell you what you have.

I tried looking in my sky account, but couldn't find squat. I looked for ages, all over the place. Then I thought I would contact them. Big mistake. So no joy.

So after all that. I still have no idea what my internet connection is.

Click your start button and go up to your "Connect To" tab and it should give you all the information you need and showing who you are currently connected to.

What company do you pay your monthly internet bill to? Is it a phone company or is it a cable company?
Call that company and they will tell you exactly what you need to know.

DSL using a phone line. If it isn't that and it isn't cable and it is high speed then it is something else. wireless sounds suspiciously like cellular to me unless it is your router or modem that is providing a wireless signal for your comuter.

I did put ADSL 500k. pure guess.
