Hello Friends,
I have windows vista. Accidentally put some items on the favorites bar. I meant to add them to my favorites list. I updated to Explorer 8 and the favorites section works somewhat different and I goofed up. Now I can't figure out how to remove the items from the bar. Please help me out.
Thanks,
James
Start IE8 and select Favourites.
In the drop down menu select Organise Favourites
In the window that opens Click on the Favourites Bar folder
You can now delete the Items from the Favourites Bar folder
Or select it then carry it to any folder of your choice.
Either deleting or moving the item will remove it from the favourites bar.
Jim
Or, you can just right-click on the Favorite and select Delete.
Hello,
I would like to thanks you all for giving me your valuable views regarding this matter.
Thanks,
James
Can we assume then, that you were able to clean yours up?
I have to admit, I am still adjusting the new taskbar in Win7 - I like it, but I've not been able to give up Quicklaunch either.![]()

To Create New Folders:
-You can create new folders by right-clicking on an existing item on the Favorites bar, clicking New Folder, and then giving the folder a name. You can then drag items from the Favorites bar into that folder.
To Make Several Changes at Once:
-Click the Favorites button, click the arrow next to the Add to Favorites button, and then click Organize Favorites. From here you can add, remove, or rearrange your links, feeds, and Web Slices in the Favorites bar folder.
