    Google homepage

I work on WinXP sp2 with IE8 and Google homepage.
I want to open always with Google.com in English
However every time I open my computer the homepage goes to the local Google, which uses a different font and is written right to left. And then I must change the search page to the Google.com.
I checked several times the IE “internet options” and there the homepage is set to “google.com” but it doesn’t convince the locals.
It is not a great trouble but annoying.
How can be Google compelled to open to open directly in the “.com” ??

Find the exact google page you want, cut and paste it into Internet Options > home page, close IE 8.0, when you open it again that page should be your homepage as set by you.

Let us know if that is of help.

    kind regards,

    Thanks Tallin
seems that it worked. I pasted "google.com" into the Homepage slot instead using the "use current" option and now the Homepage is OK
    Thanks again

Here I am again. I responded too quickly. The Google.com lasted about two days and then changed again the Homepage to the local one.
However i found somewhere that adding "ncr" after the slash in "intrnet options" may help.
And really now i receive only the .com homepage every time when i enter the IE.
I don't rmember what the "ncr" stands for and couldn't find it any more in the web, but it works.
    FYI
