Istalled new McAfee, having a problem....

I have a logitech Pro 9000 web cam, when I installed it I was running McAfee Security and everything ran fine. My old McAfee ( McAfee Sercurity) expired and I installed "McAfee Antivirus Plus" a few days ago, now when I use my web cam the movements have a 1-2 second delay which I never had before, right after I installed "McAfee Antivirus Plus" I stated getting this problem. Can changing to a different type McAfee sofeware cause this? I never had this problem for almost 2 years running the "McAfee Sercurity", I opened my web cam 5 minutes after installing the "McAfee Antivirus Plus" and it had the delay. Should I re-install my web cam or go back to using "McAfee Security" again, any ideas? Thanks....

Its difficult to be certain because McAfee has so many products with similar names.
But system requirements for both products are : -
McAfee AntiVirus Plus 2010 requires at least 512MB (1 GB recommended ) of Ram
    http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/11540476/McAfee-AntiVirus-Plus-2010-1-User/Product.html?&_$ja=tsid:11518|cc:|prd:11540476|cat :Software

Whilst McAfee Security requires only 256MB of Ram
    Buy McAfee Security Bundle 3 User IFN10UMB3RHA £23.66 - Oyyy.co.uk

So if you don't a have a least 1GB of ram this could be the cause of your delay.
If that is not the case I personally would uninstall and reinstall my Web Cam.
If the problem still persists after that. As paid for product I would contact McAfee support
and see if they can shed some light on the problem.

Now I'm getting a blue screen saying that my windows need to close because there is a problem that may cause damage to my computer. It said to uninstall any new hardware or software, the only thing I installed in the past few days was that McAfee Antivirus Plus 2010, if I uninstall that I have no sercuity on my pc. My pc has been running funny ever since I installed that McAfee. I never had any problems when I had the McAfee Sercurity 2009. My old McAfee Sercurity 2009 expired thats why I installed the new Anivirus Plus, when I installed it did it remove the old Sercuity 2009?

Please don't worry BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) occur on occasions and they don't usually cause damage to the computer.
Can you give us the exact BOSD message and all its detail.
This will help us to diagnose your problem and assist in its remedy.
Could you also go here http://www.d-a-l.com/hardwarescan/
and do a Hardware scan. When the scan as finished there will be a link to the scan details at the top of the page.
Could you post that link here

The blue page said there was a problem with a file, "Partmgr.sys." After that it read "Page_Fault_in_nonpage_area. Below is that link you asked for, thanks.

    Hi Mark

Along with the Partmgr.sys. and Page_Fault_in_nonpage_area you get a list of numbers such as : -

    example Stop: 0x0000000A (00000063, 0000001c, 00000000, parameter4)

Could you give us those numbers please.

    Hi Mark

    The Page_Fault_in_nonpaged_area is usually a 0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA BSOD
Troubleshooting Windows STOP Messages says : -

Requested data was not in memory. An invalid system memory address was referenced. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus software) might cause this Stop message, as may other hardware problems (e.g., incorrect SCSI termination or a flawed PCI card)

I have highlighted antivirus part of the message.

Since you say this only started when you installed McAfee Antivirus Plus 2010.
This would be the obvious place to start so you could

    1) Uninstall McAfee Antivirus Plus 2010 and install one of the many free Antivirus and Firewall software.
    2) Contact McAfee support here McAfee - support - Support
and explain your problem and see if they have a solution.

If you decide to uninstall McAfee Antivirus Plus 2010. Before you do
Download the Antivirus and Firewall you intend to replace McAfee.
There is a list of Antivirus and firewall software to be found here.
Free Anti-Virus Software: Legally protect your PC for free...
Along with a short explanation of each software.
If you need help or advice please post back.

Ok, no more blue screen, now I got a black screen that reads "Hard Disc Drive Failure", that doesn't sound to good. Does that mean my hard drive is shot? Did I just lose everything that I had saved on my computer? Should I take it to the computer shop or is it something I can fix myself? I can't get into my computer now, well, I guess you can give me the bad news

Hi Jim, the computers over 2 years old, no luck there. When I got that black screen I shut the computer down, half hour later I turned it back on like I did before and now it's up and running, everything works fine. I ran a scan check and the results came back with no problems, is there another check I can run, hardware or software check? I guess now it's a waiting game seeing how long it'll run again untill I get that blue screen back. Any other ideas?
