Sounds like malware. You might want to start a thread in Thissection of the forum. You will need to follow these instructions first before you post there

On your Desktop that works. You can download a Linux Live CD like This Iso Edit: Link broken. You can download from Here You don't have to install linux to run it, Puppy runs in ram. So don't use the installer in Puppy Menu. After it boots up and installs in ram. You can remove cd. And use cd drive for other tasks. After shutdown. Just pick don't save session. Easy as Pie.

Use a Program Like The Official ImgBurn Website to burn a bootable cd. Use it running of the live puppy cd to get online with it. You can download whatever Windows exe. files you need to run things like Malwarebytes or whatever. Take the downloads and put them on CD or USB and install them on your Windows operating system. You could also use the linux cd to download Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable for Windows. Save download and burn to cd or usb. Then install Firefox to get online with. I hope that explains your options. I could have it up and running with Puppy in one hour probably.

Easier way. Just download Firefox installer and save it on working Desktop computer. Transfer installer via USB stick. Run installer on Laptop. Use Firefox to get online. Other open source choices for windows is opera and Kmeleon

Initially all you need to do so transfer hyjackthis to your computer and, as instructed, install it and run a scan. Use a usb drive to get hjthis to your computer and copy the log onto your usb drive. Then make your post.

Rocky why did you have to complicate things by bringing linux into this???!!!
