Kaspersky Anti-Virus is blocking my Internet access
Hi,
I used to have Kaspersky Anti-Virus v7.0 and I recently updated it to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 (v9.0). After the installation i noticed i can't access the Internet in FireFox or IE. I restarted my PC but still. First i thought it was the modem but the other PC, which is connected 2 the same network, is working fine.
I found out if i disable Kaspersky my net works fine, thats how I'm posting this. FYI, i didn't change any settings. And i noticed Windows Live Messenger works fine even when Kaspersky is enabled!!!
Plz help
I'm using Windows XP Pro (SP3), FireFox v3.5 and IE v8.0

Just an initial work around might be a system restore to a point prior to the update.

Why do a system restore if i can just un-install KAV 2010?

Uninstalling often does not remove registry entries whereas System Restore would.
Worth a try either way.

I did some tweaking and managed to find the option for it... For ppl with the same problem in the future they should go to "Settings" then "Network" under "Options" after that choose "Monitor selected ports only" then click "Select" and REMOVE the check mark from "Monitor all ports for specified applications"
