Brand new computer - want to start out right!
I just purchased a new HP laptop (my son dropped my old one and busted the screen lol), and i want to make sure that i have everything i need installed/set up to prevent any problems/infections. You guys were the first people i thought of! any advice appreciated!!
the computer specs are:
HP G60-530CA
Intel pentium processor T4300 (2.1 GHz)
320 GB HD
4096 MB DDR2 SDRAM
LightScribe Super Multi 8x DVD+- RW with dbl layer support
Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)
Intel WiFi Link 1000 Network Connection
thats right off the box lol... not that i know what half of it means lol...

i've gone through the stickies on the forum and downloaded avast, sun java and spybot. My windows firewall is on. Anything else i should make sure to have?
