I have this problem...i can use msn plus,and chat with people online,but the sad part is that i am unable to use the IE7 to acess the net...i have tried to use winxpsockfix.exe to help me use ie again,but it does not help.Is there any programme that i can use to enable me to use IE again...plz reply asap...

i have also downloaded firefox and tried to run it.The programme can run,but the site that i want to go to just does not open...it is the same thing when i open windows IE...is there anything i can do?

i have a problem...whenever i get connected to the internet,i will be able to use my msn,but not IE and firefox.IE and firefox will juz run as per normal,but then nothing will happen.For IE 7, they say that my page is unable to display.whereas for firefox,nothing happens when i enter de sites that i wan to go to

As a first measure, check your Anti-Virus and Firewall settings for disallowed sites or overall net access. Ensure the site you want is listed as Trusted or allowed.

Do the same for any spyware/malware or adware programs which you run.

Post back with your results and any further questions.

i have already allow afew site on the the trusted site part,and for the spyware/malware or adware programmes that i have,they have already been there since my internet was working...i have tried to use system restore,but it failed.i tried using winxpsockfix.exe,but it still does nt help me out...is there anythign i can do?

Sorry for the delay. My internet has been out for over two weeks - ISP Equipment problems. (I live in a town Pop 7400. Getting a tech out here is subject to their availability to travel out here.)

What is the site you're trying to get to? Is it a currently operative site?

Another factor is that IE7 simply doesn't work on certain systems. However, the fact that you can't access this site with Firefox as well may preclude this.

Has IE7 worked on this machine before and it just stopped, or did you download/install it to replace IE6?
