I'm planning to go on a trip around the world, and I'd like to share Pictures and Video with my family and friends back home, so I'll need an Internet Connection.
I have a laptop computer, and, since i'm planning to go in not very high-tech countries, I'd rather not have to depend on Internet points, wich may be very rare.
Is there an international telecommunications provider that offers the service of a worldwide connection (eg. via satellite phone, or portable dish)?
Possibly a flat-rate subscription, so that I won't have to worry about time of connection or amount of data exchanged?

It may seem a crazy question, but I simply had to ask :-)

I remember reading exciting reports 6 or 7 years ago about worldwide satellite coverage and Internet access that was just around the corner. It seems that corner has not yet been reached. There is worldwide (or close it) coverage, but not from a single carrier. Some claim worldwide, but when you look at their coverage maps, you see it is not so.
