I cant connect to the internet..... my friends in the network can using the same router / hub...

is it becoz my lan card is spoilt?
how to check?
i tried from device manager... it says it's working properly...
pl help

i have two pc's connected to a sky router netgear ,i can connect to the internet on one ,without any trouble at all ,but when i try to connect to the other all i get is cant find server. i have tried every way to connect but no joy .can you help.
