Hey,
I have tried everything and cant seem to figure out this problem and need some fast help on it. I need to know how to retrive or find the deleted history files on the internet. I know my son has been looking at stuff he shouldnt be looking at but he deletes the history so I cant prove anything. He is way too young to be looking at this stuff so I need to know how to get to these deleted files so I know exactly what he has been doing. Please help me Im at my last resort.

Windows maintains .dat files that cannot be erased nor viewed from within Windows.
This bothered many people probably for the opposite reason of yours and therefore some programs were developed to view and delete these files.
Although I probably empathize with your son more than you I post to forums in order to answer questions to the best of my ability.
That being said this free program will let you view as well as delete your index.dat
