I guess the only thing that I like about FF now is that it gives you a LITTLE bit more space by default for the web pages. However, I can easily zoom out with opera if I wanted to. A LITTLE bit more space, barely noticable. Anyways, opinions please.
Just based on my experience. And Fx is more secure then Opera as it's open-source verses closed-source.
    • Faster
    • Better Customization
    • Renders Pages Better
    • More Extensions
    • More/Better Skins
    • Enjoy the Layour better
    • Less RAM/CPU Usage
    • Rapid security holes fix
    • Knowing you're helping a non-profit organization then a Corporation who used/getting paid by putting ad-aware on your system.

Do you have some sort of study or facts to back this up, or is this just another baseless OSS blathering?

The ads were no secret, everyone knew they were there before downloading. Furthermore, people should use a potentially lesser product just because they are "helping" the Mozilla Corporation?

Just using common sense, I am sure there is such study.

Does it not bother any one that now viri writers know many use Fx, that they will now write the viri for Fx rather than IE? It seems to be a logical conclusion. I mean if I wrote virus for internet, it would be for Fx, not IE. Oh, I don't, but if I did I would. :eyespop:

 Yes, we know you don't!

I came across this browser study today. They say that Opera is faster with Windows and Firefox is optimized for Linux. http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/browserSpeed.html

I am using Opera today out of necessity (FF is broken). I like it, but I still want my Firefox back.

To be honest, I only use Fx for the tabs, and I actually use IE quite often.

Something that I've noticed with Opera is that your desktop does not get cluttered up with shortcuts or deskcuts.

You can use the "Notes" feature in Opera. It all stays within the browser and you can give the shortcut as long of a description as you want.

My notebook is going back for a new CD Rom next week and when i get it back i'm going to have a reinstall and give Opera a proper chance. I've used it a few times before but only for a day or so.
This time i'm going to give it at least a week to impress me

Good luck using it for a week Vidster. At the end of a week you will be crying for FireFox back!!

I tried to use IE yesterday, but couldn't becuase of the lack of tabs. Also I personally think FireFox has a nicer look.
