Thats right, you can permanently block ads! Some people know this, others don't. Full tutorial!
1) Download and Install Mozilla Firefox

2) Once thats installed, fire it up!

3) Go Here

4) Click Install now! Then wait for the timer, then install. Wait until it fully installs.

5) Restart Firefox.

6) Now you can block any ad, image etc! Let's go through the first one together.

7) Go to CNN

8) Now this step will vary, but only ment to help you.

Look at the top, your see an AD. Right now this is a flash AD. Since you can't right click on a flash ad, let's click on an ADBLOCK tab near the flash (in different corners most of the time).

When I click that I get this:

Obviously that is an AD URL. So lets erase all that junk and use "*" as a wildcard.
So the new URL will be:
http://ar.atwola.com/content/*
Or possibly:
http://ar.atwola.com/*

Now that we done a flash one, lets do a normal ad, or animated GIF. CNN has all flash right now, so lets go to a new URL. Yahoo!.

I am now getting a normal ad. So lets right click on that and then choose AdBlock Image.

Is the URL I am getting. So lets replace it!

Or you could even do

I find it to be especially useful when sites do heavy browser-sniffing. Being an Opera fanatic, I've come upon a handful of sites in my time that only let in NS/Moz/Fx/Gecko-based browsers and IE. I use Proxomitron to completely defeat browser sniffing by spoofing my browser UA Strings, or I'll leave nasty little messages in site logs, usually something anti-IE. For a little while, I was showing up in site logs as a toaster oven :banana:

AdBlock is fine, whatever. For the more sophisticated Netizen using Opera, Proxomitron does everything you want, and more

Anywho I'm not the biggest Opera fan, but I have used it and liked it. Oh and almost all of us use Fx !

I like Opera Broswer, too. I'm not keen on Firefox. Ok, now they will all want to get my throat, too:eyespop:
