    and this may be my imagination, web pages seem to load more quickly than they did.
    That's why I use it. I think the % means something like ASCII code follows.

    Great so ok but I really don't understand why. Just to show my ignorance what is happening that was not happening before? Is my data going all the way to the US of A and then on to where ever it should go and is the reverse true. So far I have not been able to find what OpenDNS does in words that I can understand! Guess I am just thick! (Probably only an English expression means stupid)..................JR

    It's a DNS server, which means it's used to lookup IP addresses from hostnames. ISP servers are often slower to update entries.

    Well thanks for the info. Well now even weirder as the problem I reported has just disappeared today. The only Windows update today has been this one which I would not have thought could be responsible but what do I know. Maybe AOL has done an update, don't know how you could tell!.
