Always a good test with browser issues is try another browser.

Do you have similar issues with IE?

IE has always been slow and lagging for me.. freezing up and crashing often, even before the problem with FF. Sometimes I use it briefly but rarely check the usage, because I just expect it to perform poorly. I will check though.

I think i managed to get the first file right..but i don't know how to zip a file.. the first one i did came out as .rar which was invalid... so i downloaded winzip, but the file was .zipx and was also invalid. I guess I need help in a lot of areas lol.

I don't see anything extraordinary on your logs. System Idle process stays at 97.69% of CPU usage, which is good.

Go Start>Run (Start Search in Vista), type in:
    msconfig
Click OK (hit Enter in Vista).

    Click on Startup tab.
    Click Disable all

    Click Services tab.
Put checkmark in Hide all Microsoft services
    Click Disable all.

    Click OK.
    Restart computer in Normal Mode.

NOTE. If you use different firewall, than Windows firewall, turn Windows firewall on, just for this test, since your regular firewall won't be running.
If you use Windows firewall, you're fine.

    Same problem?

Be sure to back up your bookmarks or you will lose them!!! Click on the bookmarks menu & manage bookmarks. Now file and export. Browse to the desired location and type in the desired name. Also you'll lose any saved passwords.

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
That is because you DIDN'T select the "Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations" option when uninstalling. Follow the instructions on how to remove everything!!! [ie clean install]
