Re: Firefox using up ++ memory in multi tabs!!!

java is running because i have a facebook game that runs java open in one window almost all the time... at other times, i have reload every running in another tab... right now though, i have 4 tabs open.. one that has the java game (Ghost Trappers) and the rest are just 'regular' sites... its still running at almost 500 K... the CPU is only at 3% and the PF usage is around 950 MB.

From the start menu browse to the mozilla firefox folder & click on the link that says something like "mozilla firefox (safe mode)". Thats what it says for me.

Do you mean 500 k of 500 m? Can you try running just one tab?

Perhaps your problem is with java. I would try uninstalling it and installing the newest version.

Run FF Safe Mode for a while.
Let us know what is the RAM usage after certain amount of time.

Are we talking here about 400k, or 400,000k?
