hi,
i recently noticed that my laptop is constantly uploading with speeds rangeing from 50kib/s to a bit over 300kib/s. i have tried a couple of different dl/up monitoring programs and they all give me the same result. any idea y it is uploading all the time? i have tried closing all the obvious programs like vuze skype msn etc. and even most of the random processes that u never know wat they do but nothing has stoped the upload.

is there a free DL/UL monitor that can tell you what program is doing the up/downloads?

The first thing I would do is disconnect (pull the plug) from the Internet and run a full malware scan. If you do not have a full arsenal of tools, see my sticky, Practicing Safe Computing to build your own. If you have done this already, you might want to post a HJT as instructed in the opening paragraph of the above sticky.

Once you are sure your computer is not infected and compromised that this is not some malicious activity, then you might look at Process Monitor – an advanced monitoring tool for Windows that shows real-time file system, Registry and process/thread activity.
