    .url Extension now Displayed

I have recently exported my Favorites from IE7 to a HTML file using the Import/Export command.

Having reimported this file I now show the extension ".url" in all my favorites which is annoying. Renaming a favorite and deleteing the extension makes it unusable.

Any ideas how I can return to the original setup with the extension not showing.

    Thanks.

P.S. Sorry if this thread is in the wrong part of the Forum.

Do you still have the source? If so, instead of exporting and importing, it is generally easier to just copy and paste. You will need to find your favorites located typically under C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Favorites. Simply copy all the contents from that folder, to your new.
