I've done it...... I installed IE8 on one of my XP systems. I'm sorta hooked on FireFox but I'll try anything once.
To my surprise IE8 actually works (keep in mind that I have only had it up and running for one day, time is the true test).
As with most new software, he help documentation sucks,. It almost apears that MS just copied the IE help from an earlier release. I actually had to use my brain to figure out some of the settings & terminology.

I thought I would bump this thread.

I'm using IE8RC1 on a XPSP3 system and think it's great. I was running in full compatibility mode until MS released the Compatibility View lists. So far so good.

IE8 Compatibility View List for XP
IE8 Compatibility View List for Vista

About 6 months back (with IE7 and IE8), I started having a problem with SUPERAntiSpyware causing IE crashes. IE8 crash recovery works!!!!! (and SAS is no longer causing problems)

And IE7Pro works with IE8, also great since I have found I cannot live without its real-time spell checker.

Like Digerati ,I'm using IE8RC1 on a XPSP3 system. I have been putting it through the test for the past two weeks and had zero problems. In fact I have made IE8 my default browser replacing FF3.
